In August in 1945, Japan had faced the lost in the World War II.
There was no significance or justice in the war, but Japanese people found out some significant technology or knowhow throughout it.

For example, the technology for "Zero" fighter has been used for the bullet train named "Shinkansen".
Also, Japanese people had practiced the knowhow about project management on the development process of the battleship named "Yamato" .
The Yamato project was significant because the project period was about six months shorter than its original plan and the project man-power was one half of regular development.
The man, who had realized the management, was Mr. Nishijima, the Colonel of Technology.
He had used the standardization for the procurement of parts, the way of block development, or the "Nishijima Curve", which was a visible graph to show man-power management.
We can learn many points to manage a project from the achievement.
There are the Best and the Brightest in any period of time.
Regardless of a fact that a country is in trouble, the Best and the Brightest creates great knowledge unaffectedly.

1945年8月、日本は第二次世界大戦での敗北に直面しました。
その戦争の中で、意義も正義も何もなかったのですが、日本人は重要な技術やノウハウを見つけました。
たとえば、ゼロ戦の技術は新幹線と名づけられた超特急列車に使われています。
また、日本人は戦艦大和の開発プロセスにおいて、プロジェクトマネジメントについてのノウハウを実践しました。
大和プロジェクトは、プロジェクト期間がオリジナル計画よりも約半年ほど早かったことやプロジェクト工数が通常開発の2分の１で済んだことなどで、とてもすばらしいものでした。
このマネジメントを体言した人物は、西島技術大佐です。
彼は、部材調達の標準化、ブロック工法開発、あるいは工数管理を可視化した『西島カーブ』などを使いました。
私たちは、実績からプロジェクトを管理するために多くのポイントを学びます。
