Microsoft announced the factsheet on July 24th that the younger generation in Japan has only one friend on internet compared with 5 friends per a user on average in worldwide.

When it has asked the younger generation from 8 to 14-year-old about the number of friends whom they have kept in touch with on internet without no contact, they answered only one person on average.
The number of the target asked in the younger generation is 18,000 persons in 16 countries, and then the people in abroad answered at least 5 friends on average.
On the other hand, the people in China have answered 37 friends on average.
This is the difference of national character.
Chinese people seem to be aggressive, which means no shame to contact with foreign people in poor English.
Korean people or people in Latin America tend to be the same too.
They learn the way of communication in English while speaking poor English.
On the other hand, most of Asian people tend to feel shame when they use worng grammer or expression regardless of the fact that most of people using English DO NOT care about it at all.
Writing English or speaking English is one way or tool of communication.
We can communicate with anyone else as long as we have desire to understand who they are.
"You is", "They is", or "We is" is OK.
You will recognize some of people speaking English as the first language use wrong grammatical sentences commonly.
The most important thing to improve English skills is how much you can express your thought or feeling to the other party.

マイクロソフトが、日本の青少年はインターネット上でたった1人の友達しかいないのに対して、世界平均では5人であるという調査結果を7月24日に発表しました。

8歳から14歳までの青少年に会うことなしにインターネット上だけでコンタクトを取っている友達の数を聞いたところ、平均で1人と回答しました。
青少年に聞いたターゲットの数は、16カ国で18000人。
そして海外の人々は、平均5人と回答しました。
一方で、中国の人々は平均で37人と回答しています。
これは、国民性の違いです。
中国人は、下手な英語で外国人とコンタクトを取る事に恥ずかしさを感じないという意味で積極的です。
韓国人やラテンアメリカの人々も同じ傾向があります。
彼らは、下手な英語を話しながら英語でのコミュニケーションの方法を学びます。
一方で、ほとんどのアジア人は、ほとんどの英語を使う人々は全くそんなことは気にしないにも関わらず、彼らが間違った文法や表現を使ってしまうときに恥ずかしいと感じる傾向があるようです。
英文を書いたり話したりすることは、コミュニケーションの一つの方法でありツールです。
私達は、彼らが誰なのかを理解する願望を持っている限り、誰とでもコミュニケーションは取れるのです。
『You is』や『They is』や『We is』でも大丈夫です。
みなさんも、第一言語として英語を話す人々の何人かは、普通に間違った文法や文章を使っていることに気づくでしょう。
英語スキルを上達させるもっとも重要なことは、皆さんが相手に対してどのくらい皆さんの考えや思いを伝えたいのか、なのです。
