If you are familiar with some US comedy drama, you may hear the one,
"The Cosby Show"!
I love US comedy drama because in the drama because there is no disgusting performance like ugly wo/men who act out in order to attract attention in Japan.
Most of the time, US drama tries to make audience laugh by wit.
I love "wit".
To say "wit", we need some intelligence and knowledge in many fields.
Also, by using "wit", we can play with words and enjoy communication even in bad atmosphere.
A wo/man loved by someone is surely hated by someone else.
However, a wo/man who is not loved by anyone is not hated by someone else.
In the situation, there is no emotion including passion in his/her mind.
"(T)o please everybody" is just like the situation.
Flatters is not loved by someone but just laughed at by anyone else.
We smile for everyone, but we do not forget the mind of "wit".
If someone loves you with your wit, then you can obtain real smile and feel happy, instead of meaningless communication.

もしもみなさんがアメリカのコメディ・ドラマを良くご存知なら、『コスビーショー』というドラマを聞いたことがあるかもしれませんね。
私は、アメリカのコメディ・ドラマが大好きです。なぜなら日本のように奇をてらう格好をした醜い人の不愉快極まりないパフォーマンスがないからです。
ほとんどの場合、アメリカのドラマはウィットによって観客を笑わせます。
私は、『ウィット（機知）』が大好きです。
ウィットを言うためには、知恵といろんな分野の知識が必要です。
また、ウィットを使うことによって、悪い雰囲気の中ででも言葉遊びやコミュニケーションを楽しめます。
誰かに愛される人は、必ず誰かに憎まれます。
しかしながら、誰にも愛されない人は、誰からも憎まれません。
その状況には、その人の中には情熱を含めた感情がありません。
『全員を喜ば』せることは、そのような状況のことです。
おべっか使いが誰からも愛されないし、みなから馬鹿にされます。
私達は全員に微笑むけれど、ウィットを忘れてはなりません。
もしも、誰かがあなたのウィットで愛してくれるなら、そのときあなたは、意味のないコミュニケーションの代わりに、本当の微笑みを得、そして幸せを感じられるでしょう。
