"The best and the brightest" should be offten hidden bihind a hero.
They in a project management should be in the similar situation.
When you take a look at a very popular product like "iPod" selling at a store, whom do you imagine beyond it?
Steve Jobs?
It may be true in some meanings, but he is not only a real person who has rendered many services for iPod.

As you've already known, iPod is a product developed by APPLE, Inc.
After Steve Jobs returned to APPLE, Inc. in 1998, the company has succeeded to produce iPod in 2001.
Steve Jobs did show the vision that APPLE, Inc. would seek for portable music player field with his charisma and leadership. Certainly, his words and actions should have move up employees' motivation.
Also, he joined the project and contributed to its design, shape, and touch.
Otherwise, there were two men of business for iPod development project.
Their names are Ben Knauss, a former senior manager at PortalPlayer, and Tony Fadell, a person who designed an original idea for iPod.
Fadell lead the project members to design and develop it, and Knauss coordinated the balances between contracted companies and APPLE, Inc.
These persons sustained the project in shadow and lead to success with silence toward the public.
Then Steve Jobs, a popular and charismatic hero, can appeal the product instead of many persons who had related to develop.
This is the power of a team.
The best and the brightest may not get any spotlight to be "star," however any hero cannot play in front of people without them.
Either side should have really important role for the masterpiece.

確かに、彼の言葉や行動が従業員のモチベーションを上げることができたでしょう。
一方で、『iPod』開発プロジェクトには２人の実務家がいました。
彼らの名前は、ベン･クナウス（元PortalPlayerの上級マネージャ）とトニー･ファデル（『iPod』のアイデアを設計した人）。
ファデルは『iPod』を設計し、開発するプロジェクト・メンバを率い、クナウスは委託業者とアップル社との間を調整していました。
このような人々はプロジェクトを影で支え、公共に対して無言の中で成功に導きます。
そのとき、人気者でカリスマがあるヒーロー的なスティーブ・ジョブズは、開発に携わった多くの人々の代わりに商品をアピールできます。
これがチーム力ですね。
『ベスト＆ブライテスト（最良で聡明な人々）』はスターになれるスポットライトは得られないかもしれません。しかし、ヒーローは彼ら無しでは人前で演じることができないのです。
どちらの側でも偉大なる作品にとっては重要な役割があるものですね。
