Today, I would like to introduce a typical project management, "Project Apolo" which had taken human beings to the moon at the first time.
Have you been excited about the code name like "Project (any title)"?
Yes, I have everytime I hear.

"Project Apolo" is followed by the "Project Marcury" which the 34th US President Eisenhower had proposed at the end of his presidency.
Actuary "Project Apolo" is the third project as the mission which US had taken human beings to the space.
Then in 1961, the 35th US President Kennedy had drastically changed the goal to a landing on the moon in 1960's.
At that time, people may sense that the plan of a landing on the moon was unreal and impossible.
On the other hand, US people had believed the challenge spirit led by "the Frontier Spirit" which President Kennedy had proposed.
As the result, after President Kennedy was assassinated, the space shuttle "Apolo 11" had been succeeded to a landing on the moon in 1969.
Neil Alden Armstrong, one of the most famous astronaut in the world, has left the words "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind."
When a mission is completed, people realize the unbelievable invention or the great legacy.
Also, when people meet the historical moment which opens the door to the next generation, the event excites the people.
Project Management is the specific action plans by the group of people who share the same goal called success.
Anyone can expect his/her success or bright future as long as he/she can draw the specific action plans and management plan.
The people can be called, I believe, "the best and the brightest".

本日は、典型的なプロジェクト･マネジメントの例である『アポロ計画』（初めて人類を月に連れて行った）を紹介します。
『プロジェクト○○』のようなコードネームにワクワクしたことありませんか？
私は毎回そう感じます。
『アポロ計画』は第３４代アメリカ大統領アイゼンハウアーが政権末期に唱えていた『マーキュリー計画』の後継です。
本当は、『アポロ計画』は、アメリカが宇宙に人類を連れて行く３代目のプロジェクトになります。
それから１９６１年、第３５代アメリカ大統領ケネディが、１９６０年代に月面着陸というゴールに劇的に変更しました。
当時人々は月面着陸は非現実的で不可能だと感じだかもしれません。
ただ、ケネディが提唱したフロンティア精神によって、アメリカ国民はチャレンジ精神を信じていました。
結果として、ケネディ大統領暗殺後、スペースシャトル『アポロ１１号』は月面着陸に成功したのです。
世界で一番有名な宇宙飛行士であるニール・アームストロングはこんな言葉を残しています。
「ひとりの人間にとっては小さな一歩だが、人類にとっては大きな飛躍だ」
ミッションが完了するとき、人々は信じられない発明や偉大な遺産に気づきます。
また、人々は次世代へのドアが開く瞬間に出会ったとき、そのイベントは人々をワクワクさせるのです。
プロジェクト・マネジメントは、成功と呼ばれる同じゴールを共有する人々の集まりによって行われる明確なアクション･プランです。
誰もがその明確なアクション・プランを描くことが出来る限り、成功と明るい未来を期待することができます。
そんな人々を『ベスト＆ブライテスト（最良で聡明な人々）』と呼ばれるのだと私は信じています。
